Mr. Omega Major
2nd. Degree Black Belt
Omega T. Major started taking karate in order to fulfill a promise that he made to his daughter Kaelin M. Major. While his daughter was taking karate, he encouraged his wife, Monique R. Major, to take karate along with Kaelin. Why not? They both were there at the class at the same time; Monique was on the sideline and the Kaelin was on the floor training. As the time got closer for Kaelin to test for her first degree black belt, she started to ask Daddy why he was not taking the class. Well, daddy thought of every excuse there was, and finally told her that if she passed her black belt testing, he would then sign-up for the class. Needless to say, she passed. The first thing she did after her testing was to find her daddy and remind him of the promise that he had made to her. He told her okay, hoping that it would just blow by and she would forget about it.However, it did not. During the Christmas parade in 2014 in Center Point, she remind him of this again. Once the parade was over, she took him to Ms. Robyn White and had him to complete the paperwork to get signed up for karate. She also had him fitted for his uniform that same day.
One of his most precious memories is seeing the smile that Kaelin and Monique had on their faces when he stepped out of the dressing room with his uniform on for the first time. He has enjoyed every minute of karate since that time. The discipline and hard work really teaches patience. He gives thanks to God for giving him this opportunity, providing him with a beautiful daughter, and a loving wife. Training with the family is a wonderful thing. The Majors are now kicking together.
