Shihan Jay Fredrick started in Karate in 1986, and acheived his Brown Belt in Judo under the late Lewis J. Fredrick, Sr. After the passing of his father, also his Judo Instructor, Shihan Fredrick started with International Karate Federation under Sensei Ray Nichols. Shihan Fredrick is a certified Karate Instructor with IKF Karate, as well as a certified Kick-Boxing Aerobics Instructor.

Shihan Fredrick has a son that is also active in IKF Karate, YonDan Tony Fredrick.
